Contracting With WHI

If you or your organization is seeking an experienced, reliable deep-water drilling group in South Sudan or Northern Uganda, we would like to hear from you.

We are able to offer extremely competitive donation rates to drill and install water wells due to start-up and administrative costs being covered by WHI's parent organization - The Radler Foundation. 100% of donation dollars flow to the field to pay for pumps, fuel, equipment repair, cement, and labor for our staff that is comprised of 95% Sudanese workers. We believe you will be impressed by WHI's degree of professionalism, and the level of care we incorporate into all our work. Our combination of US and Sudanese team members ensures quality Western business practices paired with local knowledge and experience.

Since inception, WHI has successfully completed numerous contracts and partnered with large international non-profits and mission groups with varying drilling requirements. The organizational structure of our drill crew and capability of our rig allows the WHI crew to complete up to a maximum of four water wells per week with ideal conditions. If you are a church, an international non-profit, a company who wants to give back, or an individual with a heart for clean water, please contact us.

WHI drills and manages 100% of our wells for donors. We DO NOT HIRE THIRD PARTY DRILLING GROUPS to complete our work, it is all our own.

Our full drilling program includes:

  • Thorough site survey and community evaluation prior to drilling
  • Steps to ensure community support and ownership - application, assessment, and training of a democratically-elected water well committee to oversee maintenance of the wells
  • Multi-day sanitation training program, using UN-created PHAST training method
  • Door-to-door visits in the village during the drilling process by our Sanitation Coordinator to ensure understanding of sanitation and health concepts
  • If desired, faith development program led by our Ministry Coordinator incorporating the local church and pastor, and often with help from students at a local pastor training school
  • Community contract which guarantees free access to wells for all villagers. Nominal usage fees may apply depending on desire of elected water committee
  • Free training in well repair for community members chosen by the water committee
  • Ongoing followup and support for the community by WHI crew
  • Customized, web-based reports that photos, videos, stories, well data, and community response supplied when the well is complete
  • WHI can also provide marketing materials and fundraising support for organizations with individual donors including comprehensive village information, pictures, quotes and stories
